Bongio was born from the intuition of its founder, Mario Bongio, who in 1936 opened a small manufacturing business in Alzo di Pella on the shores of Lake Orta.

Mario Bongio is among the winners of the third edition of Imprese Vincenti 2021 and as such, was among the protagonists of the event.
#ImpreseVincenti21, Intesa Sanpaolo’s project for the enhancement of Italian small and medium-sized enterprises, has never before aimed at the centrality of the business system “as the engine of the restart” of the country after the long and difficult months of the pandemic. Companies that have reacted with projects, investments and new productions to deal with the emergency, focusing on the realization of their business in an economic, social and environmental sustainable manner
Starting last September 15, the 2021 edition ideally covered an eight-episode Digital Tour that touched the entire country, with a final event to collect the experience of the companies involved, draw up a budget of the project and launch a message of confidence.


Each Bongio product is based on the concept of functional innovation. By getting to the heart of ergonomic, dynamic, energy and sustainability issues, but especially by focusing on materials engineering and practical ramifications, superb results in terms of form and design can be achieved when you are able to rely on pure artisanal expertise.
